At Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists we take pride in the work we perform. There are many types of damage on wheels that people think are not repairable. Most of the cases those wheels are very repairable and even repairable to the point where our customers can’t tell where the damage was. We also have the ability to custom color wheels in almost any color combo you could think of. On this page you will find examples of damaged wheels that our customers thought were not repairable and actually were repaired at a fraction of the cost of replacement wheels. You will also find many examples of custom painted/powder coated wheels we have done in house. We have also added some photos of some of our employees working on wheel. What a custom look for your vehicle? Look no further. At Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists we love to customize wheels and can do almost any finish you would like. Pictured is a set of wheels that was customized to match the body color of the vehicle. The vehicle in this photo is a new Chevrolet Camaro and the pockets of the wheels were painted the body color and the face of the wheel is done in a machined finish.
Looking for more than just a simple two tone finish? Well we can do that as well. The three pictured wheels are all wheels that have more than just a two tone finish. The picture on the left is a newer Honda CR-V. Half of the spokes were painted to match the color of the vehicle. The other half of the spokes were finished in black and the face of the wheel was done in a machined finish. The center wheel was off a Chevrolet Camaro. The spokes were done the same body color as the vehicle. We then machined the face of the wheel and added a red pinstripe. The photo on the right was off an Audi. None of the colors in this wheel were the body color of the vehicle but we did gun metal silver and red in the pockets of the wheels then machined the face of the wheel.
At Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists we can also able to make slight changes to your wheels. Here we took factory black wheels off a Ford Mustang and added a pin stripe around the edge of the wheel. The pin strip on these wheels was painted the same color as the vehicle.
In the upper Midwest wheel corrosion can be a major problem. We are able to repair corrosion as well. The pictures above are from a repair we did on a Ford Truck. This is also a repair that were able to do in one of our mobile units. Although we do highly recommend these types of repairs come to our shop so that we can do a thorough repair in some cases this type of repair can be done on site. This wheel was repaired in our used car reconditioning program and although it is not a perfect repair it was done quickly and cost effectively. This was a repair best suited for a used car dealership and for a higher quality repair this should be done in our shop.
Do you have a bent wheel? We straighten wheels as well. The most common cause of bent wheel is pot holes. Bent wheels can cause vibrations or tire leaks. The picture above is a before and after picture of a very bent Ford wheel. This wheel was straightened back to factory specifications. The work was done by one of our highly trained technicians. Have you ever wondered if a straightened wheel is as strong as a wheel that has never been bent? We have also done extensive testing by outside companies to prove that wheel straightened using our process does not affect the structural integrity of the wheel and that the wheel is just as strong after straightening as it was when the wheel was new. Do you only have a minor bend in your wheel? Even if you can’t feel a vibration or if the wheel is not leaking you are going to want to get the bend repaired. We also have tests proving that a bent wheel will eventually crack. If your wheel has cracked don’t worry most of the time we can repair that as well for an additional cost.
Just because your wheel looks like it is too damaged to repair does not mean it is not repairable. Stop by for a free wheel safety inspection or for a free estimate. We will never repair a wheel that should not be repaired but there are a lot of wheels that can safely be repaired that most people think can’t be repaired. The pictures below are of a wheel that had a sizeable chunk missing from the lip. This was a repairable wheel. We welded material back into the wheel then machined and reshaped the wheel.
