On-site Cosmetic Repair

Curbs, road debris and road debris can cause scratches and scrapes on wheels. Not only is this damage unappealing but If this damage is not addressed the damage can cause corrosion and wheel degradation. Most normal wheel damage can be repaired in our state of the art mobile reconditioning facilities. Once our mobile reconditioning facility is on site we remove the wheel from the vehicle so that is can be worked on inside the unit rather than on the car. One major reason we do this to control the work environment as much as possible so that we reduce the chance of debris in our final product. We want to have the least amount of impact on the environment and that is another reason we preform repairs inside our units. All our units are climate controlled and have dedicated prep area and a separate EPA and OSHA compliant paint booth. The filters we use in our paint booths and prep boots are designed to trap 98.9% of all the particulate that is produced form the wheel repair process. Our mobile units are able to service commercial accounts such as body shops, tire stores, dealerships as well as retail customers. Unfortunately our mobile units only service commercial accounts in the St. Paul and St. Paul metro but we do have a retail location in the St. Paul area. We are able to service retail customers with our mobile units in the St. Cloud, Rochester Eau Claire and La Crosse areas.

On-site/Shop Wheel Straightening

Bent wheels is not as uncommon as most people think. Most bend are caused by an impact from a curb or a pot hole. There are to different types of bends, lateral bends and radial bends. Most lateral bends are not repairable however most radial bends are very repairable. A lateral bend is usually caused be sliding into a curb bending the hub or the spoke. The amount of heat and force required to repair these types of bends will affect the structural integrity of the wheel. Radial bends are the most common type of bent usually caused by hitting a pot hole at high speeds. The most common area for a wheel to be bent with a radial bend is in the back barrel because that is the weaker part of the wheel. The front of the wheel (face) usually does not bend as often because the spokes keep the wheel very ridged. This type of bend can safely be repaired. To insure bent wheels can be safely repaired our company has had repaired bent wheels using our patented repair process tested with an independent test facility that specializes in testing alloy wheels to insure that repairing bent wheels does not affect the structural integrity of the wheel. A lot of bent wheels can be repaired on site in our mobile units. Wheels that have major bends, face bends or bent wheels larger than 22” would need to be repaired in our shop.

We do not welds spokes, the middle of a barrel, lug nut hole, the wheel hub or near the valve stem hole. Sound like most of a wheel is not able weld?
